Users review: Like most guys I had never seen this movie alone or with a male friend. But my girlfriend was in town and thought I would make an ideal romantic comedy movie for us to see together.I heard the call the 9/11 team at the beginning of the film and has been terrified to sit through that part. However, I was pleasantly surprised to see that, given the very small and not particularly cringe worthy or that I'm not quite sure why w that annoyed some people so much.As regards to film the whole, I quite enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it as a perfect Date Movie. Many reviews here have downplayed the movie because they thought it was too Glib about love and very unreasonable. But I think you have to accept that the film is designed to make people laugh and bring the spirit of charity Christmas holidays. If you watch the movie in that context it is doing its work in a team vell.Hovever for me the best moment in the movie was a piece of paper tourists sessions given (standing side by side) by the U.S. President and the British Prime Minister. I really felt like standing up and applaud when Hugh Grant (as Prime Minister) finally speak American president in person and in front of the world yl ; ta that Britain would no longer bow to the wishes of the U.S., but it will have an independent perspective on your own. Bearing in mind that America is the biggest market for the film was very brave Richard Curtis to write these things and he deserves a lot of credit for ; describing the U.S. president as rather disgusting and put into perspective what `special relationship is really all about. Richard Curtis had to know the movie is done well, but not big in America. However, clean him up here in the UK and im sure you will do very well in other parts of the world too.So Bravo Richard Curtis to stand up for client ; their end, you're a hero! |
