A fisherman, a smuggler, and a syndicate of businessmen match wits over the possession of a priceless diamond.

Users review: Since there is very little negative column, let me dispel it for the first time: Blood Diamond can completely blame the bleeding heart syndrome (more on that in a BIT) has reach ; few minor pacing issues and look at some of the results. End, they chose to film goes too far, it seems forced and tacked on. More natural end is on the hill - you know what I mean when you see it. These things said, the positives are much larger, and this film showed two magnificent performances. Djimon Hounsou is nothing short of incredible, and Id be surprised if it does not exist at Oscar time. Secondly, even though ive had a bit of patience before he Leonardo DiCaprio really impressed me this year. With their performances left and now Blood Diamond, I need to re-evaluate their own version of it. Im getting fan. Some early reviews I read Painted Blood Diamond as hysterical left cause-head paradise. They show that the conflict diamond situation was completely exaggerated and distorted. I do not know if this is the case not. The film showed a large, but I do not base their political and economic solutions for the films I see. My interest here was to see how the characters would react to the disaster and the terrible, horrible dark situation. The political agenda of the film is not so cloyingly pompous as I was afraid it might be. This is a film which, although related to the political situation in Africa, focusing on how the obsessive search a large, rare pink diamond that is used by those who will fo , r close it.DiCaprio is great as Rhodesia (description) and the mercenary trade weapons work in Sierra Leone. Hounsou is the fisherman who gets drawn into the civil war raging around him and discovers a pink diamond that can save - or destroy - he and his family. Jennifer Connelly plays a journalist who tries to discover if a major international diamond company deliberately and conflicting diamond market. Jennifer Connelly seems to get the worst dialogue. When told that Americans are partly to blame for conflict diamonds is the responsibility of the line, not all girls want a fantasy wedding. It makes her look naive at best and stupid at worst. She usually manage to retain the character of any of these fates, while being able to avoid self-righteousness, when it comes to some of the films more flexible moral character. Hounsou is a great character and his despair as he tries to find his family crackles on the screen. He's cautious and aware of what he needs to do to survive. His character is not above playing servile, if it will keep it alive. And when provoked violence was totally chilled. Many smaller roles Arnold Vosloo as a mercenary, Colonel Stephen Collins as a diplomat and Michael Sheen as a non-diamond president. Excellent performances all around. Is Blood Diamond condemnation? I think that's the wrong question. The film is a character study, and all men seeking pink diamond and the impact it has on them, but it is also a symbol of studies in Africa. The tragic and miserable, Blood Diamond is drenched with cynicism and defeatism. Why is there suffering and exploitation? TIA, explains Connelly DiCaprio in "This is Africa. Unlike, for example, makes traffic film, Blood Diamond does not plunge into despair. Some characters may be cynical, but the movie does not look hopeful. Picture heart is price. Characters look diamond wealth and destroyed it. The film shares many similar themes with the treasure of the Sierra Madre movie. High praise for the high quality of the film.
