Users review: There are many good things about The Machinist that are well worthy of praise. Very suggestive nature of the film is supported by a strong performance in all excellent. Christian Bale takes things to the extreme in his realization of his character. It 'hard to see him in his almost mass starvation of the body, which further increases the tension of the piece. The story leaves something 'to be desired. Even though it makes your great mood, it is usually the result, along a small thing that stands out is how much.One too reminiscent of Alfred Hitchcock films this game. Almost everything about the movie screams Hitchcock, to change some scenes (the driving sequences are much in the style of Psycho) soundtrack by Bernard Herrmann-Esquire (bass clarinet a lot), the lack of some of the issues troubling the fulli-ekploring/revealing film (which drips out of the fridge?), and pale, grainy photos. If you want to see what the film would look like if Hitchcock live to shoot today, this is the closest you're likely to encounter. And if it were part of Brad Andersons intentions in this regard, I commend the committee because uncanni.Overall, I would recommend this film, but occasional visitors of the cinema. This is a movie experience Phile for those who appreciate the character development and cinematography as plot points and story that can be defined and monitored from one action to another. In this way, it is closer to the film as Magnolia and others, where the characters best. If you are looking for a typical Hollywood popcorn thriller, this is not what you are looking for. |
